Restorations
I have been involved with the restoration of various props and miniatures. These include the following.
The rocket pack pattern for the movie The Rocketeer. The original pattern for the final rocket pack seen in the movie (Prototype Four) needed extensive restoration overall. I did that work to bring it back to perfect form.
The mothership from Close Encounters of the Third Kind. After it was salvaged from a fire, all of the lighting and the antennae protruding out from the ship needed to be replaced and rebuilt. As part of a small group, I did most of the antennae repair.
The dropship from Aliens. The landing gear was never meant to hold the weight of the ship, but someone tried. I worked on repairing and stiffening up the landing gear as part of a small crew.
A Winchester 1887 stunt shotgun from Terminator 2: Judgement Day. This stunt shotgun I made in 1990 for production was made of fiberglass resin. It had been auctioned off and was in rough shape when I received it to restore.
